Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Data landing zone (DLZ)

Data landing zone (DLZ) is an Azure Blob Storage interface provided by Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) to ingest data into the platform. It acts as a staging area for raw data before it’s processed and loaded into AEP.
How does it work?
- Provisioning: Each AEP sandbox gets one DLZ container with a 7-day data retention limit.
- Access: DLZ uses SAS-based authentication and is accessible across different regions without additional network configurations.
- Data Ingestion: You can upload data to DLZ using Azure Storage Explorer or terminal.
- Data Processing: Once uploaded, the data can be used to create datasets in AEP, which can be further used for profiling, reporting, or activating data into other systems.
Use Cases:
- Ingesting data from external vendors or partners: When there’s no native connector for a specific data source, DLZ can be used to ingest the data.
- Frequent updates to datasets: For datasets that need frequent updates, like product metadata or lookup tables, DLZ can be used to efficiently update the data.
- Data science and machine learning: Data scientists can use DLZ to upload models or data for analysis and insights.
Benefits:
- Centralized data ingestion: DLZ provides a single point of entry for data into AEP.
- Increased efficiency: Streamlined data ingestion process.
- Faster time to value: Quicker data activation and insights.
- Easy setup: Simple configuration and no additional infrastructure costs.
- Integration with Azure services: Seamless integration with other Azure services.
